ABEE signs agreement with Arcadis

ABEE – an engineering company specialized in battery and energy technologies for automotive – has signed an agreement with Arcadis, a world-leading Design- & Consultancy firm with a track record in CAPEX projects and environmental studies for Industrial Clients. Arcadis will deliver expertise and support in the development and implementation of ABEE’s new giga-factory in Seneffe-Manage, Belgium.

Arcadis will lend their expertise in permitting, planning and environmental impact assessment to the project to help ABEE achieve its objectives of building a sustainable factory complex where not only production but also recycling of battery packs will be carried out using the latest technologies.

With the signing of this agreement, ABEE is a step closer to realizing its vision of creating the first Belgian giga-factory. When finished, the project, which has been named “BE-VOLT Battery Systems”, will have an annual capacity of 3 GWh and it is projected to create from 300 up to 500 job positions. In addition to the economic contribution that BE-VOLT will make to Belgium and the EU, the project will also heavily decrease dependance of non-EU players for the supply of battery packs.
