SH Group partners with Corvus Energy on containerized battery room solution

SH Group A/S, Svendborg, Denmark has announced a new strategic cooperation with Corvus Energy, Bergen, Norway, on developing and producing Corvus BOB, a containerized battery room solution for maximum flexibility in Battery-On-Board (BOB) vessel applications.

Flemming Slumstrup, Head of Electric Department, commented “We have during the years worked with CORVUS Energy on a number of projects and this new strategic contract will add to the fruitful cooperation.

These ESS are in perfect line with other “green technologies” we are working with. We see a clear trend requiring more “green technology” from the installation of frequency converters on large consumers to shore power connections and hybrid/battery installations to meet current and future requirements for clean operation.”

“The Corvus BOB is a flexible, cost-effective energy storage solution that reduces complexity and risk for the system integrator, shipowners and design companies,” says Ronald Hansen, SVP Ship Solutions at Corvus Energy.

“With the Corvus BOB, they get a fully type approved stand-alone battery room without having to spend time on the configuration inside. Being a fully scalable ESS with a standard ISO footprint also makes it an ideal solution for projects where increased capacity is needed.”
