Quality Uptime Services acquires New Jersey UPS battery service company

Leading U.S. critical power service company, Quality Uptime Services, LLC (QUS), has announced the acquisition of Sonoma Technical Services, based in Piscataway, New Jersey. Quality Uptime Services, headquartered in Bethel, Connecticut, is one of the nation’s leading independent service providers of UPS and battery preventive maintenance and emergency service programs for critical power equipment across all makes and models. Acquiring Sonoma is another step in strengthening QUS’s presence in the Northeast Corridor.

“I have been looking to retire for a few years now; but was unable to find a company that had the same high standards as Sonoma’s,” said Randy Creger, Owner at Sonoma. “My searching finally led me to Quality Uptime Services, who met every item on my checklist – the highest of standards, customer oriented, employee appreciation and integrity. The sale of Sonoma to Quality Uptime Services has been one of my proudest accomplishments in my 43 years in the UPS battery industry, with the last 33 years in a business started in my garage over a bottle of wine from Sonoma California. I would like to thank all past and present employees for help making Sonoma the company it is today. Here’s to many more years of success in providing exemplary service to our customers, old and new,” said Randy Creger.

“QUS has significantly grown its battery replacement capabilities across the US over the last five years. The addition of the Sonoma team will allow us to combine best practices from both entities and improve upon our already robust service delivery model,” said John Raio, CEO at QUS.

Randy will remain onboard in an advisory capacity through December 31, 2021, while the rest of the Sonoma team will join the QUS team under one entity.
