Ilika presents an extended temperature range solid state battery: -40° to + 150°C

Ilika Technologies Ltd. (LON: IKA) is a pioneer in ground-breaking solid state battery technology for a wide range of applications in MedTech, Industrial IoT and Electric Vehicles. Ilika, which was founded in 2004 as a spin-out from the School of Chemistry at the University of Southampton, is headquartered in the UK and has operations in USA, China and Israel.

Ilika has just released Stereax P180, a cm-scale solid state battery with the ability to operate across wide temperature range from -40°C to +150°C. Ideal for Industry 4.0 where sensors often need to be powered in hostile locations.

The High temperature, cm scale SSB 180µAh – Stereax P180 features similar benefits to the M250 in terms of energy density and fit for life performance, but with the additional capability of operating across a very wide temperature range, from -40°C to +150°C. This wide operating temperature range arises from Ilika’s patented material innovation technology, which enables designers in an array of industries to develop new products that were previously not possible with legacy battery technology. Ideally suited to smart automotive and environments requiring SSBs for sensors for industrial IoT.
