Hard Korr lithium batteries with Lcd digital display

Australian-based Hard Korr (formerly Korr Lighting), Power HKPBATL100P 100Ah Lifepo4 Deep Cycle Lithium Battery LCD Screen 100AH deep-cycle lithium batteries consist of four high quality aluminium-encased prismatic cells connected in series, each with a nominal voltage of 3.2v.

“Whilst more expensive to manufacture, prismatic cells are much more stable and shock-resistant than cheaper options which simply consist of banks of cylindrical cells wired together”, states the company. These batteries use an advanced battery management system (BMS) to ensure an even energy balance between cells and allow the batteries to be connected in parallel or series (up to 4). The BMS contains an intelligent protection circuit module which protects against overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit and over-temperature. The battery cells are protected by custom-molded EVA rubber cushioning. This cushioning offers protection against knocks and drops, and ensures better stability and longevity when the batteries are used in high-shock and high-vibration environments such as marine and vehicle applications.

The Hard Korr deep cycle batteries might look similar on the outside, says the company, but the key differences between low-quality and high-quality batteries can be found on the inside. The batteries are constructed from superior grade components, including the cells, battery management system and even the wiring. Not only does this mean the battery will last longer and provide much greater reliability, but it also provides two other significant advantages: maximum discharge rate is 100Ah for 40 minutes or 150Ah for 2 minutes. This is significantly higher than most others, and is especially important if this battery operates in conjunction with an inverter. “You can connect up to four of these batteries in parallel or up to four in series. This means you can create up to a 400Ah 12V setup, or a 100Ah 48V setup! All of our deep cycle lithium batteries now come with a handy LCD digital display on the top of the unit. This display allows you to easily understand your batteries charge level and voltage at any point in time. The screen is backlit, so you can read its output regardless of whether it is day or night”, states the company.
