Gehring and WAFIOS: E-mobility of the future at the “Battery Show North America”

Turnkey production lines and customized exhibits used in the production process of electric mo-tors“: this is what the two medium-sized German machine manufacturers Gehring and WAFIOS from Ostfildern and Reutlingen will be exhibiting at the “Battery Show North America“, North America’s biggest annual battery and electric & hybrid vehicles technology Expo.

The Show will take place in Novi, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan from September 13 to 15.
In booth 1532, everything will revolve around the future of emobility and emphasize their part-nership as suppliers of entire production lines of e-motors. From prototype builds to small series, Gehring and WAFIOS‘ decision to adapt their business structure was critical to the success to cover the entire production spectrum.

Gehring and WAFIOS have taken important steps to define their role in the emerging e-Mobility sector. Since April 2021, Gehring and WAFIOS have combined their expertise in this business area. And now, they are ready to offer the global automotive industry complete turnkey production lines for electric motors. Thanks to the close cooperation between Gehring and WAFIOS, important parts of an electric motors, for example the required hairpins can be produced in large quantities on newly developed bending machines. “We developed our innovative hairpin bending technology considering the smoothness of subsequent processes for prototypes as well as small and large series. With this technology, positioning of hairpin legs has become one of the key qua-lity features of modern electric motors.“, state the two companies.

The partnership between Gehring and WAFIOS already prove to be successful – as shown by the first joint trade show appearances in early 2022. “We received exciting inquiries for new coopera-tions,” reported Gehring sales manager Marcell Wardin from CWIEME Berlin in May.

Complex technical discussions are underway, not to forget the prototyping of electric motors and their components. These will provide the new partners with custom-fit and individual solutions for their electric motor manufacturing. The “Battery Show North America” will now be the perfect medium to further develop and expand their portfolio.
