According to CIAPS statistics, there were 72 new lithium battery manufacturers in China in 2020, with a decrease of 7 compared to 2019.
The reshaping of the power battery industry was further intensified. Compared to the top 10 in 2019, BAK Battery and Sunwoda fell out of the top 10, while the other 8 battery manufacturers remained.
LG Chem and RUI PU were listed in the top 10.
In 2020, the installed capacity of lithium-ion batteries for NEV’s in China totalled 62.3GWh, up 1.8% year on year. Due to the epidemic, the monthly installed capacity of power batteries remained in negative growth in the first half of the year. However, rapid growth resumed in the second half of the year.
