The world’s leading supplier of niobium anodes Echion Technologies (Echion) and Taiwan-based GUS Technology, a specialist in lithium-ion batteries, pouch cells, and energy storage systems (ESS), have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement.
The agreement, signed at the inauguration event of GUS Technology’s brand-new gigafactory in Taiwan, marks the beginning of deep collaboration between the two companies. The MoU provides GUS with secured availability of Echion’s innovative niobium-based anode material, XNO®, and access to Echion’s electrochemistry support for cell design.
Ben Ting, Chief Commercial Officer at Echion, celebrated the new partnership, saying: “The official recognition of our relationship is an exciting step on our journey with GUS. The agreement will also allow Echion and GUS to provide early access to battery cells and modules powered by XNO® for a range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users.
